Which services can we engage the studio for?
The studio's services cover architecture and planning, home construction, interior design, exterior design and 3D visualisation. You can engage the studio for the complete journey, from the first sketch to handover, or for a single stage — interiors for a house that is already built, for example, or visualisations of a design you already have.
We have a plot but no plans yet. Where do we start?
With a conversation about your family, your plot and your budget. It helps to share a site plan or survey sketch, photographs of the plot and its surroundings, and a list of the rooms and spaces you need. A site assessment and a written brief then set out what the design has to achieve.
How is the budget handled?
An approximate budget range is useful from the very first conversation, because it shapes the size of the house, the structure and the level of finish. Every project is scoped and priced individually, and the design is developed with that budget in mind. If you change your mind about something along the way, it is best raised early, while its effect on cost and time is easiest to manage.
Will we see the design before construction starts?
Yes. The design is developed through plans, sections and elevations, and 3D visualisations let you see rooms, materials and light before anything is built. This is the stage to refine the layout and choose finishes, while changes are simplest to make.
How long does it take to design and build a house?
It depends on the size and complexity of the home, the time needed for approvals, how quickly decisions are made and the weather — the monsoon affects work on site. A realistic schedule can only be set once the brief and the site are understood, and it is discussed with you at that stage.
Can we plan a home in Kerala while living elsewhere?
Much of the design stage can happen remotely, through video calls, email and WhatsApp, with drawings and 3D views shared for review. How site visits, approvals and progress updates will be handled while you are away is best agreed at the start of the project.
